A break!
September 09, 2024
It has been a week to forget and this coming week is looking just as bad!
Just too much to do, to little time and my mind is not working properly. It started with a bad reaction to medication and went downhill from there, plus I was trying to fulfill commitments whilst I was ill and couldn't think straight. A recipe for disaster.
This coming week doesn't look too good either but at least I'm not trying to work whilst my body is poisoned. I have a party up at Toowoomba mid week and I will stay with my daughter overnight. She has no reception out on the farm and they are off grid so I think I will just go with the flow and not try to keep up with anything.
BUT I have finished CQ 5. It is all ready to hand over and I am pleased with the outcome. This is a lap sized quilt and is completely made from left-overs. The centre was a block I embroidered back in 2021 that didn't fit in the quilt I made. I think this will be a comfort quilt to go to a nursing home.
My quilting is getting better. I am sticking with my walking foot and geometric designs. Very simple. I outlined the centre block and then stitched radiating lines.
I am still stitching with my old machine which is rather ponderous in comparison to my newer machine. But I will eventually get to free motion, but not for a while yet.
Now onto CQ6.
Beautiful. I really admire you Carolyn. In spite of what is going on in your life you still keep on stitching and creating beautiful items.
God bless you and keep you dear lady.
Kindest regards
Jeanne

Looks good, even if it was made during a difficult time!
