I am now up to doing the pattern on my jumper and that means learning how to do twisted stitches. I found this exercise really hard on my right wrist. It turns out there are 4 different way of knitting these stitches. After much trial and error I selected the method that caused the least pain. I knitted two swatches. One in 5ply,
and the other in 8ply.
After blocking the swatches I can see that I will have to reduce the size of my needles to get the tension right on the 8ply wool, I will need to knit another swatch to check this. But I have learnt two new things this week, twisted stitches and plush work!
I have even finished another two embroidered seams.
I think that I might also brush up my French. All the time I took translating information from French sites, for embroidery and music, this week shows me I really should set time aside to master this language. And I have also become interested in those early French explorers who were in the Southern Hemisphere. Being able to read information in the original language would be helpful.
That's quite a programme you have laid out!

Learning French will be the most challenging.
