Day 78
Day 79

I am making progress on my new fusion piece having outlined each of the sample stitch areas. It is fine work and progress is slow.  Because I am using a 32 count linen this piece will have a more European look even though I will be incorporating Japanese designs, I think.  I'm not really sure what it is going to finish up looking like.  It could be horrible, I will just have to wait and see.

I was looking for some inspiration on Pintrest and came across some work that is a fusion of Kogin and European designs.  One always thinks that you are the first to think of the idea but there is someone out there thinking the same thing.

This piece uses the counted star together with a Kogin seed motive, both of which are an uneven count.  Looks good.  I'm not sure who's work it is but it was up loaded by Nihon Vogue Co. Ltd. who also have a facebook page.  It is a bit easier to get translations here than on their website.  Boy it makes me mad when I can't trace a piece back to where it originally came from.  But that's Pintrest!

At least there is a link here back to Pintangle to see what everyone else is up to.

Looks like an interesting project-and I will be interested to see how it shapes up
I agree about Pinterest I have an account but boy I get annoyed that some people don't pin giving credit to who ever work it is

You aren't the only one to object to loss of attribution on Pinterest - it must be so frustrating for people wanting to gather research!

I thought it was just me.
