As my mother was a dressmaker I knew what heresy it was to touch her giant black shears, so when my two came along had plenty of cheap scissors around so mine were never taken.
As far as fabric goes I could open my own shop since doing Dressmaking at Tech in 1983, smocking from 1987 and patchwork from 2005.
I love fabric and everyone knows it.
