Wool Embroidery

I have lots of wool for embroidery and woollen fabric to embroider on.  At one point I got carried away with embroidered blankets and they were fun to work.  But over the past few years I have been looking at the woollen embroidery from Sweden and thinking that I would like to stitch some.  It was this image on on an old postcard that was my inspiration.

Then one of my favourite Blogs, Folklore Fashion  has just put up a story about costumes from this region with some great images of the embroidery so I think I might have a try.
