So here is January and I am about to start on my first block. As I said I hate Crazy Patch with a passion, which is quite irrational but be that as it may I am about to begin. As I have linked this challenge with TAST 2012 my first block will include all the TAST stitches for January.
I am going to use some hand dyed & printed fabric for the centre of each block that I bought in New Zealand years ago, back in the 1990's. I can't remember for sure who's work they were but I bought a pack from an artist in the Arts Centre in Christchurch. Due to the earthquake which damaged these beautiful building the centre is closed and I can't locate the textile artist.
I think they were by Sue Spigal who the world will remember from the TV images of her perched on the window sill of the Chirstchurch Cathedral just after the earthquake. Her room had been destroyed and she had a broken arm. These fabrics are rather special.
The theme for the year is going to be water. That leaves lots of scope.
