Looking back over this year is not a pleasant task. This past year has seen my husband at death's door, but thankfully, he is now back with us and his health is not too bad. He has no more operations planned so here is hoping. I had 4 operations myself in the last year and that has really put a dent in my planning. That list for this year is full of not completes or failures and it was such a short list.
But on the up side I did get to the Houston Quilt Show in the USA and took some wonderful workshops. And the highlight of the year was my trip to Guatemala.
The operations have seen an improvement in my health, with me being able to bend over without pain for the first time in over 20 years. As far as the textile projects went it was an average year with lots of volunteering work and a bit of teaching thrown in. And I do now have a base in the city with the purchase of the apartment so that is also a positive.
So looking at the good and the bad I think the scales are on the positive side. One can't ask for much more than that. Now I have to think about what I want for 2018.
Having got through this year it can only be up.
