One of my joys has been completeing a TAST sample each week. This week was just so busy with other commitments that I haven't even started this weeks sampler. Hopefully I will get to it tomorrow.
Another joy of my life has been finding old embroidery books, complete, on the net. They are a wonderful resource for inspiration and just seeing what people did in the past.
Kathryn Goodwin has a selection of books for free download on her site. What is of interest is the quality of the scans. These are vert good. Some of the best that I have seen to date. Along with the old books she also includes an article on Assissi work, along with a collection of good charts.

The technology for both scanning and displaying these books is getting so much better, isn't it! When I think of the first scanner I used....!

Yes they are. Up till now I have found the scans of 1500s 1600s difficult to read.
