I just love these patterns. I keep trying was of using them on other fabrics but they just dont look the same.

I have taken photos of old pieces I have found from Museums collections and old magazines. I know that there was an academic book written in 1977 by a Mr Tanaka, but it is long out of print and in it there were photos of some of the stitched patterns. I have bought what ever Japanese publications I can find, which isnt much. As far as I know there is no complete collection of patterns in English. I had heard of a Japanese woman who is working towards weaving all the patterns. I will keep at it.
