This is only a little diamond so I have repeated it and made a larger pattern. When stitching it I treated it as one design and began in the middle stitching across all the repeats.

Thanks for posting these patterns! I have just come across your blog and had never heard of kogin embroidery before... I really love the simplicity of it.

It will be good to see some other combinations of patterns as well, because repeated patterns change the emphasis of the solo pattern.

Yes, I agree. I have some in the pipeline on other fabrics that are more accessible.

Hi Judy,
It is a darning stitch but you work it in a stabbing motion, one stitch at a time. The word Kogin translates as stabbing.
