Many thanks for another beautiful pattern Carolyn. Can I ask what software you use to chart these patterns? I have just stumbled across a set of Spanish darning embroidery patterns on the net, but they are photos, and the resolution is not good enough to stitch from; I would like to chart them but I'm not sure how to go about it.

Hi,
I useEasy Grapher Proffessional. I can use it for all kinds of needlework designs. However it cost about $400. I looked at lots of others, which were more expensive and decided on this. Then got my family to buy it as a present for me.
Cheers
Carolyn

This looks like a very traditional pattern that is often used in weaving upholstery fabrics.

I suppose it is inevitable that patterns are repeated in different cultures.

Hahaha good idea, I would have to do the same at that price, trouble is my other half might be tricky to convince!
