Week 27 Bonnet Stitch
Yet another stitch I haven't used before. Not difficult to work, it is quite attractive as well. Might even make a good border stitch. But from the first moment I saw this stitch all I could see were little men marching along carrying pieces of wood or something up over their heads.
I thought "this is weird. There can't be little men jumping out of my needle?" So I went and did something else. Came back and they were still there. After consideration I thought I had better put them to work. So I set them off up a winding path with lots of purple colour so they could get to work on an image I had of a cup of pencils. The colour had faded so it was their job to fix it.
As you can see those little men are only part of the way through the job. Keep at it guys.

Oh, Carolyn,
I DO enjoy your sense of humour! What a great way to interpret the stitch! Out of my needle came only messy mesh!
I love looking at the other participants' work and see how we all use the same stitch differently - a true learning experience.
