I have a month of teaching ahead of me beginning with Children's Embroidery Holiday Classes. We start today and right up to the last moment there have been changes. This one is not coming, this one wants to bring a friend. Every time I get the name tags finished I have to change them again.
We have thirty students (30) and I just couldn't cope with any more than this. We are stitching a cushion cover inspired by a design by Mandy Shaw who has kindly given her permission for us to use it. What a generous person. We have also bought several copies of her book "Stitch with Love" and the kids love it.
I see that she has a new book out that has cushions inspired by Robert Ryan's work. Have to get that one as well, it is called "Stitch at Home".
Of course non of the cushion covers will end up looking like the sample. The children will change the stitches, the colours, add stuff I haven't even thought of and in the end make it their own. Well isn't that what we all do?

I'm really impressed with you tackling a class of 30 children for something like embroidery. I once had a class of 6 grown-ups who were more than I could handle!
