I have seen a number of videos by DMC about their threads, all in French. This one is all in French but has sub titles. (Substitute thread for wire.) I hope some of the others get sub titles because they are interesting, to people that use thread that is.

It's always interesting to see what companies choose to emphasize in this sort of video, and how they present technical matters to the layman. They were more accurate about mercerisation than I expected, so I'm impressed!

I find dealing with most things French, from outside France, difficult. Yet, when I am there and I am working in their system, every thing is great . Example. I have just tried to buy some French embroidery books, they only ship to France and other European countries. Next trip I am taking a big list and will post everything home. Oh one exception, the people at Quiltmania publishing they are wonderful.

That's a very common experience, I'm afraid. That said, I've found American companies reluctant to ship to Europe, as well!
