This is a photograph of the interior of an abanded school in Chernobyl. It no longer exists but there is something of what was once captured here. I found it very moving.
The patterns and colours of the peeling paint.
The face of the woman in the mural. Such beauty in the middle of all that destruction.
I found these images in a magazine some time ago and am not sure of their source.

Glorious - none of my schools had anything like that on the walls!
